How to use

Take the duty point from your mud program: the flow rate and standpipe pressure the well plan calls for. No pressure figure yet? Open the derivation panel and estimate it from well depth and mud weight.
Enter flow and pressure in the units your program uses — GPM, L/s or m³/h for flow; PSI, bar or MPa for pressure. We convert to pump-table units behind the scenes.
Tick continuous duty when the pump circulates around the clock — we tighten the safety margin from 10% to 20%, per API practice for continuous service.
Where a liner table exists, we recommend the liner whose pressure rating sits at 115%–165% of your duty pressure — the economic wear zone. Running a liner above 85% of its rating shortens liner and piston life sharply.
We check the power demand: hydraulic horsepower P×Q/1714, divided by 0.9 mechanical efficiency, must stay within the pump’s rated input power with margin — underpowered matches are excluded.
Results assume the manufacturer’s rated SPM and a 90% mechanical / 100% volumetric efficiency basis, as published in the rating tables.
